Question: Does anyone know if Gibbs sported a mustache post-Mexico because Mark Harmon needed to have one for some other role he was playing, or did they just write it in because they felt Gibbs wanted it?
Just curious if anyone knew….whenever I watch re-runs of season 4 I always wonder…..
Double Identity
Episode Recap
Airdate: March 9, 2010

A park ranger pulls up to a secluded spot in the woods, listening to the radio. He's eating a bagel and drinking coffee. A duck sound begins squawking, it's his cell phone, his wife is calling. He argues with his wife on the phone over apologizing to her mother. Suddenly, a gun shot rings out. His wife cries out asking what it is and two more shots rings out, the last one shattering his passenger side window. He gets out of his car and looks to where the shots are coming from. A man comes out of the woods holding his stomach. Phil draws his gun and tells the man to hold it. The man drops his hand and reveals he's been shot in the stomach.
In the squadroom, Tony is ringing the water out of one of his socks into his trash can. Ziva and McGee make faces while they watch him. "Jethro working you so hard you have to do the laundry at the office?" Ducky says as he walks in. Tony tells him he stepped in a puddle. "He did not watch where he was walking," Ziva says. Tony was texting Ziva. "Tony thinks that probationary agent means I'm his personal assistant. He wanted me to pick up his latte," Ziva says. Tony has his foot propped on his desk, wiping it and tells Ziva he was running late. "That is your problem," Ziva says. "I hate rain," Tony replies. "I love it. Rain is so invigorating, cleansing, it makes the air fresh and the city sparkle," Ducky tells them. Ducky walks to Gibbs desk, places a paper on it and asks where he is. The team says they haven't seen him but believe he's in the building somewhere. Ducky leaves and Tony asks if any has any Talc. "Hey, would you just take your foot to the locker room please," McGee asks Tony. Ziva quietly asks if any of them have noticed a change in Ducky lately. McGee says that he seems awfully chipper of late. "Ducky seems plucky. No-one loves rain in D.C.," Tony says. "No, his ties, he's been wearing tied ties, not his bow ties," Ziva tells them. McGee tells Ziva that's very observant. Gibbs walks in and McGee tells him Ducky was looking for him. Gibbs asks what he wanted and McGee tells him he left something on his desk. Gibbs grabs it, puts it in a file folder then tells the team it's time to go, Marine shot in Rock Creek Park. Tony grabs his wet socks as Gibbs tosses him a clean, dry pair that he took out of his desk. Tony thanks him then asks if they are clean and says of course they are.
At the crime scene, the team begins to process the evidence. A 9MM handgun was found at the scene by one of the Park Police Officers. As Tony is checking it out, the Officer looks down and notices Tony has one white sock and one black one on. McGee takes the opportunity to take a photo of Tony's mismatched socks.
With the sneak preview on what is differnt with ducky, he is hiding his hand as he puts a paper on Gibbs desk, I think he got married to the Doctor, or is getting married to the doctor. I think that he is huting for Gibbs to ask his to be his best man.

I would have posted this sooner, but I just remembered. I’ve never seen the movie, but when then previews were out I thought I saw Sasha Alexander as one of the reporters(so her character was a reporter if I’m actually right)who was asking the lead actor questions. I could be wrong. What do you think?
I’d like to see either MARSOC(Marine Speical Operations Command) or FORECON (Marine Force Recon) be involved in a case as opposed to the regular Marine infranty. The only Special Ops force I remember being investigated by the team was the SEALs.
I dunno, I just think Iwould be an intresting episode to have a member one of those forces being investiaged by the team, I think it would be different. If there ever was an incident involving this branch of the Marine Corps, the MCRTin DC would be the first people called in becasue they are the main respone team in the entire agency, thus probably the best in the agency.
Just my thoughts, Iwonder if the writers or any of the porduction team actually read the forums, Idoubt it though.

ET’s Kevin Frazier hops on board and visits the set of "NCIS" to help solve the mystery surrounding the death of a Marine who lived a double life. Are either of the man’s two wives connected with his death?
Mark Harmon (Special Agent Jethro Gibbs) explained that both wives showed up once the Marine was found dead. "There’s a lot of different issues here and a lot of different stories and different directions and, as always here, at the end it’s not what you thought it was going to be at the beginning," Harmon teased with suspense.
Adding to the complication, the investigators discovered that the deceased Marine went by two different names to live out his double identity. Michael Weatherly (Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo) said, "Tony, my character, has a lot of fun extrapolating on what these wives are saying and trying to find some meaning."

Phoof Challenge – Double Identity
Before the episode tonight, get your first glimpse into three of the phoofs featured in tonight’s episode. What do you think is going ot happen?

THE DAY THE NEW DIRECTOR OF NCIS, LEON VANCE, WALKED INTO CAMERA RANGE I KNEW THE PRODUCERS HAD MADE A HORRIBLE MISTAKE. FIRST, HE HAD THIS TOOTHPICK HELD BETWEEN HIS TEETH – AS IF GOVERNMENT (OR PRIVATE INDUSTRY) BIG SHOOTS WALK AROUND WITH TOOTHPICKS STICKING FROM THEIR MOUTHS LIKE A PIG FARMER. IF THIS WAS MEANT TO MAKE A CHARACTER STATEMENT, IT FAILED. IT IS 100% UNREALISTIC. YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE HIM LIGHT UP A CIGARETTE AT A STAFF MEETING OR SWIG A BEER IN HIS OFFICE. STUPID, DUMB, WRONG, WRONG ,WRONG – TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE.
THEN, TO COMPOUND THAT FATAL MISTAKE, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS GUY A PRICK. I THINK HAVING AGENT GIBBS BEING COLD, RUDE, BOSSY, NASTY AND UNFRIENDLY IS ENOUGH COLDNESS ON THE SHOW. CAN’T THE DIRECTOR POSSESS A LITTLE WARMTH AND KINDNESS TO OFFSET GIBBS? GIBBS ALONE IS FINE – I LOVE HIS COLDNESS AND HIDDEN WARMTH. LEON IS JUST COLD AND NASTY AND RUINS EVERY SCENE HE IS IN. LOOK AT HOW WELL NCIS LA IS DOING WITHOUT ONE PRICK OR **** ON THE SHOW. LEARN SOMETHING FROM THEIR GROWING SUCCESS.
